Trivia of Wet Season

- "Wet Season" is the first Singaporean short film to enter and compete at the Sundance Film Festival.

- It is made with an extremely low budget of SGD $200. The production took place entirely in a film school studio which Michael borrowed for a week. The post production took close to 3 months.

- During the opening scene, the hands that are holding the clapper board actually belong to Michael Tay. He shot it on a green background and later added it at the foreground of the scene during post. The intention to stay true to a one-man-production is seen as motivating to the story and mood of the piece.

- During the dining table scene where the skeleton is having a meal with Michael, there is painting of the Last Supper in the background.

- The original mandarin title "Shui Qiang" actually means water gun.

- "Char Kway Teow" is a Singaporean delicacy. It is actually fried noodles and is also a pseudo name used by kids whenever they are expecting to be caned by their parents.
