- Director 'Carlo Ausino' (qv) couldn't find distribution for his previous film _Prima che il sole tramonti (1976)_ (qv) so he asked the producers what to do. Euro crime films about violent cities were popular at the time ('Roma violenta (1975)', _Napoli violenta (1976)_ (qv)) and they knew he lived in Turin so they asked him to make a crime film called Torino violenta to make up for the lost money. Carlo agreed only if they promised distribution.

- According to 'Carlo Ausino' (qv), apart from 'George Hilton' all the other actors were natives to Turin.

- Director 'Carlo Ausino' (qv) and the crew were anxious about working with 'George Hilton' because they all respected him from his westerns.

- The production team had trouble finding false police cars. They were forced to use cars from a demolition site that were unable to go very fast. Director 'Carlo Ausino' (qv) was then forced to use camera tricks to make them seem to be going much faster.
